Meltblown polypropylene
Meltblown non-woven polypropylene is used in the manufacture of filters, hygiene products and masks.
It is made of very thin fibers that are electrified in a special way so as to capture and thicken the bacteria or viruses passing through them. These properties allow the production of high quality medical masks.
Extrapack produces electrical-treated PP meltblown for the production of masks with weights between 22 and 25 g/m2. Тhe standard width is 175 mm, but other widths can be made.
For the inner and outer layer of the masks, as well as for many other applications, Extrapack also produces spunbond polypropylene.
